United With Fort McMurray in Prayer

Recently my province of Alberta suffered a devastating fire. One of our beloved cites, Fort McMurray, was taken over by a huge fire. It forced the entire city to evacuate, all 80,000 people. Some communities suffered a complete loss, others are damaged, but no one can return home until June. Most recently the fire has grown to 505,000 hectares and crossed the provincial border into Saskatchewan. You can see the latest news here.

Something thats really great to see when tragedy strikes is how other communities can come together to provide hope, help and support to victims. The stories that started popping up as soon the evacuations started were very moving, and the stories keep going. That's where I come in today. I got the privilege to donate a design for a flyer and poster for an event that the Adventist Churches of Calgary,AB are holding next week. They are holding a special evening program to pray and raise money and donations for the victims of Fort McMurray. If you are in the area, come on out and join us for this promising evening.
